Subject advisors, exam board, psychotherapeutic counseling – here's where to find the right place for your situation.
We can help with a lot of things – but for formal, legal, or psychological matters there are specialized services better suited to your needs. Here’s an overview of the most important contact points.

Subject advisors are the official contact persons for questions about exam regulations, credit recognition, and your degree progression:

Dr. Katrin Schneider is the degree program manager, department manager (Fachbereichsmanagerin), and Erasmus coordinator of the Computer Science department – and thus a key contact for organizational and study-related questions.

Exam Board (Prüfungsausschuss) of your degree program
Responsible for official academic requests such as deadline extensions, hardship petitions, second retakes, and credit transfers. Each degree program has its own board with a student member in an advisory capacity – for B.Sc./M.Sc. Informatik you can reach it at pa-inf@informatik.uni-stuttgart.de.
Teaching Ombudsperson (Ombudsperson Lehre)
Point of contact for organizational or subject-independent problems, complaints, or suggestions regarding teaching.
Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB)
The university-wide office for general questions about degree programs, changing majors, and academic doubts.
Psychotherapeutic Counseling (Studierendenwerk Stuttgart)
Free, confidential support for exam anxiety, stress, procrastination, or personal crises – organized by Studierendenwerk Stuttgart.
Social & Legal Counseling
Assistance with rental contracts, employment law for student assistants, and financial aid – also via the Studierendenwerk.
