Starting your studies at Faculty 5 soon? Then you’ve come to the right place!
The PSE pre-course is designed to ease your transition into university studies. PSE is the name of the first-semester module “Programming and Software Engineering.” The course is offered free of charge and run entirely on a voluntary basis by students from various semesters and degree programs.
Date and Registration
The pre-course takes place in the week before lectures begin (Oct 6–10), every afternoon from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm in lecture hall 38.01. Register here
Target Audience and Structure
The pre-course is aimed at all first-semester students and helps ease the entry into the PSE lecture. Together we install the tools you’ll need for your studies and cover the basics of programming (in Java). We offer both introductory tasks for complete beginners and challenging problems for those with prior experience.
The pre-course is also a great opportunity to meet fellow students before lectures even begin. As part of the first-semester orientation week (ESE) there are plenty of social events happening right alongside the course!
